WHEN HOME IS WHERE THE ART IS...
Many of the makers currently in Festival, our pop-up exhibition in the Stables at Houghton Hall, produce handmade objects for a domestic setting. Their work appeals to those who wish to make their home feel more tailored to their personal circumstances. From hand turned wooden bowls, tables, cutting boards, candlesticks and bookstands made by Tim Plunkett, to mid-century inspired pepper and salt mills and Pi stools by Par Avion, to Steve Gore Rowe's colourful and comforting hand turned wooden bowls, to ceramic vessels, dishes and lamp bases from ceramisists like Karen Downing, Laura Huston, Ros Arrowsmith and Michael Woods.
