All exhibitors share a simplicity of form and intent that belies the complexity often involved in making a piece of sculpture, a painting, a photograph, a turned wooden bowl or a slate dish. In their hands, highly skilled activities with hard to handle materials like seashells, porcelain, seaweed, stone or smoke seem simple to fashion into something beautiful.
This simplicity is of course, deceptive. Much of what will be displayed requires a good deal of dexterity during its production and while reflecting a simpler aesthetic and straightforward approach, is in fact anything but.
