More about John Maddison
Born in 1952. He has a Ph.D in medieval architecture and was for ten years National Trust Historic Buildings Representative for East Anglia. He has made painting his career over the last 25 years. He paints still life, interiors and landscapes in oil, gouache and distemper.
He also designs and executes installations in historic buildings with two altarpieces in Ely Cathedral; ceiling and mural decoration at St Albans Cathedral; at Stowe House, the recreation of the lost mural decoration of the Egyptian Hall including a zodiac ceiling, wall panels, and stained glass. He lives in Norwich and is married to the architect Jane Kennedy
